Trip was smooth

We departed the Galesburg train station at about 7:00 p.m. last night and arrived at Chicago Union Station around 10:00 p.m. We soon located our limousine and were at O'Hare Airport in about 45 minutes. After getting to the TACA counter, we were relieved to learn that our bags were not overweight. We then checked in, got our boarding passes (replacements for the ones I printed out the night before at 2:30 a.m.) and headed for the TSA screening area. Once again, we breezed right through without any radiation or fondling. By 11:30 p.m. we were at our gate waiting for our 2:10 a.m. flight to board. Once again, everything went well. We even had breakfast at 4:00 a.m. We arrived at La Aurora Airport at 6:00 a.m. and breezed through immigration and customs. In fact, they didn't even inspect our bags. We were picked up soon after 7:15 a.m. (I had thought that customs would have delayed us.) and were driven to La Antigua by Alex, the executive director of Transiciones. We had a second breakfast (Hobbit-like) at Ochenta (the street number of the main office - Eighty), were given a tour of that facility and then taken to our new quarters, which are quite spartan. They should work for the next three months, however. Now we just have to get settled in.
